The watch is in term of a small clock which may be worn on the wrist or it can be attached on the chain that you can carry on the wrist and in the pocket. The medium priced and inexpensive piece was only meant for the time keeping which were using the quartz movement or they were electronic. The collectible or expensive items were meant for the workmanship and for the aesthetic appeal not just for the timekeeping. The independent watches have different display. The analog display is traditional and they display the time in the analog form. They have numbered dial and they are mounted on different hand which show minutes and hours. They also have a hand which snaps from every second to the next marker. Those which were powered for the mechanical movement have the gliding second-hand and even if they may not be showing that they are gliding. The hand moves at a small step which is 1/5 of a second. The analog display looks similar in most designs that are being sold as collectibles or as jewelry. However, the style of hands and numbers seem to be different.
The digital display shows the time as the number instead of using the hands. The digital versions were expensive and they were out of the reach for most of the consumers up to 1975. The first Led watches had problems and forced most of the production to be called back because of faulty mechanics. Most of the hours shows the time in hours, minutes and seconds,.
